Tim Fisher is an experienced Restorative Justice Practitioner, Group Facilitator, Peer Specialist, and a Trainer and Consultant focused on issues of the LGBTQI+, senior, and incarcerated men communities. As a Facilitator and Peer Specialist with The Pacific Center for Human Growth in Berkeley, CA, Mr. Fisher facilitates Peer Support Groups as well as those directed towards specific demographics, including Older & Out and The Middlemen Peer Support Group. He developed and organized an Intergenerational Gay Men’s Mixer & Panel featuring diverse, local GBT leaders in addition to a SAGE Table intergenerational evening at the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center.

 

In addition, Mr. Fisher is an active volunteer with No More Tears, which is founded, administered and facilitated by incarcerated men in San Quentin State Prison. He participates in the program’s weekly non-violence workshops and monthly healing circles for offenders and survivors of violence, and he assists with re-entry into the Bay Area.

 

As a highly skilled Public Relations expert, Mr. Fisher has worked on a number of planning committees for a variety of Restorative Justice events. These included working with the Planning Commission for The City of Oakland’s Restorative Justice Week, developing strategic outreach to the local media, as well working with Restorative Justice for Oakland Youth (RJOY) and the National Association of Community and Restorative Justice (NACRJ) publicizing and administering their 1,200-attendee annual conference at the Oakland Convention Center.

 

For 25 years in New York Metro, Mr. Fisher was the owner of a boutique public relations agency, FISHER COMPANY: Public Relations and Special Events for the Creative Community. He was responsible for introducing hundreds of projects across the country through media and community outreach campaigns, and special events. His work illuminated progressive social change through films -- broadcast nationally on HBO and PBS, as well as other broadcast networks. Through the broad reach of television, Mr. Fisher engaged millions in their homes across the nation. Working closely with global icons and top thought leaders, Mr. Fisher advanced strategic messaging in the areas of prison reform, HIV transmission, global terrorism, mental illness, minority education, racial and identity prejudices and many other pressing issues of our time.

 

Mr. Fisher holds practitioner certifications in a number of areas including: Applied Positive Psychology, CCI Co-Counseling, Peer Counseling, Group Facilitation, and Cultivating Restorative Communities. He is also a member of Toastmasters International.
