Komoia Johnson, Ph.D.

Komoia Johnson is an experienced Trainer, Curriculum Designer, and Restorative Justice (RJ) Practitioner in the Bay Area since 2005.  Her training audience includes schoolteachers, students, families, administrators, and community-based organizations, as well as new pre-serviced and in-serviced teachers and student teachers at universities and colleges.

 

Ms. Johnson currently works for the Oakland Unified School District as a Restorative Justice Program Manager, supporting schools with school-wide Restorative Justice implementation, coaching, and supervising Restorative Justice facilitators and practitioners.  She has worked in and with many pre K through12th grade school communities throughout the Bay Area for over 25 years

 

Ms. Johnson holds a M.S. in Counseling Psychology and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on research and measurement.  As she continues to work in service to students and their families, Ms. Johnson continues to strengthen her skill set by partnering with diverse communities to cultivate healthy positive relationships – a significant and vital component to all that she does.
