I met Hilary over ten years ago when she trained a cohort from our high school. At the time, we were exploring how to start a Peer Advocate Program. After the training, we visited her program at Kennedy High School in Fremont, and it was truly inspiring. Fast forward fourteen years, and our high school now has one of the strongest peer programs in California, and Hilary has been part of that journey from the very beginning. Her training, guidance, and ongoing support helped us build a strong and sustainable foundation. As our program grew, she continued to mentor both me and our team, always adapting to our evolving needs. What I appreciate most is that she never expects things to be done her way. She is flexible, knowledgeable, supportive, and easy to work with. Over the years, she has become not only a mentor, but also a trusted friend and thought partner.

“As a member of an action research team at Teachers College, Columbia University working with a New York City-based organization that offers housing, employment, education, mental health services, and other programs to formerly incarcerated women and men,
Peer Advocates Training and Consulting consulted with us on how to best utilize the organization's meeting time to develop a more effective program to serve these clients. Their dedication to social justice issues combined with their ability to synthesize, paraphrase and reframe complex, sensitive information made Peer Advocates Training and Consulting an exceptional partner in furthering the impact of our team's work.”
